| For Junior Sailors | |
| All
the above activities can be altered to meet the needs of
children and adults alike. You can participate in
the activities as a family or send the Junior Sailors off
to learn to sail whilst you do your own thing. All
the R.Y.A. courses are adapted for children and adults. Our Center and Instructors are endorsed by the Adventures Activities Licensing Authority. |
|
| Dinghy Sailing | Dinghy
sailing is very popular with children as they spend a lot
of the time getting wet! We can take up to six children on any one session. They will be sailing the dinghies themselves whilst the instructor supervises them from a safety boat. The instructor will teach the basics of sailing (both on the water and in our class room) and then run a series of games and races so that the Junior Sailors can put the skills they have learnt into practice. |
| Keel Boating | Junior
Sailors can experience the adventure of sailing a bigger
boat to a choice of destinations where they can enjoy a
packed lunch whilst anchored in a bay. They will then have the task of navigating back to White Cross bay under the supervision of their instructor. |
| Raft Building | We can offer raft building sessions as an alternative to sailing. These will usually go ahead when there is too little or too much wind for sailing This will ensure that your children can be entertained no matter what the wind decides to do! Raft Building sessions can be specifically requested for you child if you wish. |
| Boat Hire |
| Our boats can be hired if appropriate qualifications can be shown. Alternatively a short assessment can be arranged to ensure that you have the necessary ability to take charge of one of our boats. |
